If you’ve ever had a launch that totally flopped, you’re not alone! We all have them! Even 6 and 7-figure coaches! Why does this happen? It’s because we have a block and we get in our own heads. I actually relaunched The Lit Life, which is my most popular offer not too long ago, and it completely flopped! And when I say flopped, I mean I had ZERO sales. 

With this flop, I could’ve easily believed my entire business was crumbling to the ground, but I know that if it’s not a win, it’s a lesson. So, I looked for the lesson. I’m sharing what that lesson was and how it helped me make $24k just 5 days after that launch flopped!

The Backstory of my flopped launch

Okay, let’s get into my flopped launch! All summer I felt like I was at one of my growth edges where the next breakthrough was about to happen. I was thinking about Shift It, which was previously a mindset membership. As I was in that space, I just felt like it needed to be more. There was so much more I wanted to help my client with – messaging, mentoring, guiding them, and just going deeper, but I didn’t know how.

As I was in this place, I realized I wasn’t at my goal for the month, so I figured I would just launch The Lit Life real quick. It’s my most successful course. Every single time I launch it, it’s successful, so I figured it would be the same this time around. Well, I pressed launch, and not a single person bought The Lit Life. 

Turning this flop into a lesson 

Now, could I have let myself spiral and think my business was crumbling? Absolutely, but I also know if it’s not a win, it’s a lesson, so I looked for the lesson. And here’s the thing – I already knew the problem. I chose to do something safe and easy because I was scared. Instead of pushing myself to revamp Shift It and making it what I wanted it to be, I played small. That’s why it blew up in my face. This is exactly what happens when you play small and don’t go to your next level. 

Now, while this wasn’t a fun lesson to learn, I’m grateful. It was the nudge I needed to remind myself that The Lit Life was not what I needed at that moment. So, I decided to make the changes to Shift It. It’s now a signature mentorship program. We have bi-weekly calls and hot seats. You get one-on-one 45-minute messaging calls where we take one of your programs and decide exactly what your messaging should be. I have taken Shift It and leaned into what makes my clients successful – Having a mentor who knows you and knows your potential. 

I needed that nudge to give me the push I needed to get out of my own way, stop self-sabotaging, remove limiting beliefs, and move forward. And it worked. I made $24k in the next 5 days after a flopped launch! 

I feel SO good about the changes that were made to Shift It. All of the things I’m so good at are in this mentorship space. This is my signature space. If you’re not in a place to work one-on-one, Shift It is the place to be.

Final Thoughts 

So remember – Everyone has flopped launches. It doesn’t mean anything about you or your program. It just means you’re blocking yourself in some way and you need to figure it out. Put it out there, try it, and if it flops, you learn from it. If it doesn’t work, it guides you in the direction you need to be going. There’s so much to be learned and it’s important to know it happens to all of us. If you extract the lesson and implement it, and then take the required action, you are rewarded.
